SPAIN: a project that resolves climate and local production needs

The South of the Iberian Peninsula is Europe's most water-stressed economy. Reservoirs fell below 25% capacity in key southern basins in 2024. Agriculture consumes 80% of national freshwater, and the UN projects three-quarters of the territory at risk of desertification. ​
This isn’t a problem on the horizon- it is a structural repricing of how food will be grown, supplied, and valued across the Iberian Peninsula within this decade.

For Cornucopia, this isn’t a market we chose. It’s the challenge we are designed to address: the ecosystem pressure is immediate, and the agricultural sector as a whole, faces the shrinking water supply with no viable answer. ​

We are building where the pain is sharpest, where preserving the environment, livelihoods and the local economy is no longer optional, as our country is Europe’s first lettuce exporter.

Southern Spain is running out of water, and the farms that feed it are the biggest reason why. Cornucopia's hydroponic model cuts water use by 90%, removes weather dependency, and produces year-round — making it not just a better way to grow, but a proven scalable answer to a crisis that is already here.​

FRANCE: reusing hyperscale Data Center heat waste, water and more.

Cornucopia is developing a network of projects across Europe, including a greenhouse in France, designed to grow and provide fresh, local produce with a true zero-kilometre approach.
The greenhouse will be built directly alongside a hyperscale data center, with direct access to the waste-heat it generates- transforming the heat generated by facilitity into a valuable resource for the greenhouse's heating and cooling needs. Recovered water from the cooling process can be reused to support crop irrigation, creating a more efficient and circular production model.

It's a genuinely new way to grow: cultivating where energy already flows, and let nothing go to waste.
